Dreams In Motion began as The EnPointe Dancers in January 2010 as a school club at An Achievable Dream Academy in Newport News. For the first few years, our students learned ballet, lyrical, and contemporary styles and performed twice a year at school. We were blessed to be able to move to our space in 2014 and create a place for our dancers to call home. 

 

As a local company, we want to help grow our community and support dance in the Hampton Roads area and beyond. ​As a welcoming family, we want our dancers to have fun, build lifelong friendships, feel truly valued, and enjoy the space to discover their passions through movement.

 

Our students have performed at numerous community events from parades and festivals to classics like the Nutcracker, musicals like the Lion King, The Wiz, Willy Wonka and professional acts with pop culture entertainers. Our competition team has won numerous regional and national titles, scholarships and we've received the Association of Dance Competition and Conventions STUDIO OF EXCELLENCE award which recognizes studios for their work ethic, age appropriate choreography and costumes, and working together with our fellow studio owners.

Our instructors are PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED and have worked on Broadway, danced with the Knicks City Dancers, professional dance companies and R&B artists. We are dedicated to proper technical training for all dancers whether recreational or competitive because technique matters.
